Abandoned by a mom who didn’t value him to his own cinematic happy ending. Urban’s life started off rough being left as a baby at the door of a fire station. One of the fire fighters who found him instantly fell in love with this new born baby and he and his wife decided to apply for adoption, which was granted.
The firefighter and his wife were huge lovers of classical music and introduced Urban to many works of classical music. He grew up learning to appreciate this form of music and as a result he learned many instruments in band, even joining his high school marching band.
Teased as a black kid listening to classical music, Urban felt insecure but his supportive parents always pushed him to fight through peer pressure and stereotypes. Always a lover of movies as well Urban became a huge fan of musical scores and soundtracks, often buying soundtracks while others downloaded pop songs. He started learning how to use his past experience with instruments to score music for class projects and ultimately as a high school senior scored a indie film that went on to win best original score at a prestigious awards circuit.
Armed with this new confidence he would go on to write and produce over 50 songs for various student and indie films and even walked the red carpet for a movie premiere.
